Who we are
I'm Mary McNeill. My family arrived in Hobart over 200 years ago. We are still here!
My mission is to ensure you have the best experiences of food, wine, coffee and hospitality in my home town. With my team of trained guides and industry colleagues in our chosen tasting destinations, local insights are flavoured with a healthy dash of parochial passion.
I have worked in hospitality front and back of house over the last 20 years. I studied Classic Pastry Arts in New York City and followed this with a stage in France. After having worked as a Pastry Chef in the USA and here in Hobart, I embarked on the Gourmania journey in 2011.

This is Jo Cook. Jo's an amazing asset as a Gourmania guide. She brings her vast knowledge of food, beverages and local producers to our food tours. She is the much lauded curator of the famous Dark MOFO Winter Feast.
Although growing up in Sydney, Jo is now considered a local! She has spent the last 20 years in Tasmania variously running her own nightclub, founding a cupcake company and working as a chef and a food writer.

This is Luke Henderson,
Luke was a fabulous guide through last Summer, taking care of our wonderful guests as he guided them from one delicious tasting to the next.
I am sad to say Luke has moved to Sydney, and we miss him!
However, that means we are looking for a new tour guide!
